Airbnb reported a 19% year-over-year increase in revenue to $4.87 billion in the third quarter, its fastest growth in three years, exceeding the highest estimate compiled by Bloomberg. Booked nights and experiences, as well as earnings per share, all beat expectations. The company raised its full-year guidance for the third time, expecting revenue growth of "close to 20%" (previously "at least 15%)" and an adjusted EBITDA margin of approximately 36% (previously "at least 35.5%)." It also announced a new share buyback mandate of up to $12 billion. Airbnb shares rose 5.8% in after-hours trading. CEO Brian Chesky stated that the company has returned to "growth mode."
