Because I was in class all day at the learning camp, I didn't have time to post or chat with everyone immediately. However, I still want to explain the logic behind my shorting and closing out of short positions. First, the initial short entry point in the chart was at $101, mainly because oil prices were too high, pushing up my previous short positions. Then, after realizing that the Democrats had gained control of both houses of Congress, I decisively added to my short positions. This allowed me to profit from two aspects: if oil prices continued to fall, I would definitely hold them; but if oil prices rebounded, my early entry would definitely leave room for profit. So, I kept watching yesterday and held my positions until the market closed. After class, I noticed a possibility of a rebound in oil prices. After reviewing Iranian statements, I felt there might still be short-term risks, so I closed all my short positions. Sure enough, prices rose that night. Although I didn't close at the lowest point, the profit from closing early was still good. I closed all my short positions in WTI and Brant. However, even after holding for so long, the funding rate is still incurring a loss, so I will continue to short when the opportunity arises. I won't elaborate on Bitcoin; at this price, I have no problem holding it. A @Gate account for more market information.
