According to Wu Block 123, Core Scientific, once the largest Bitcoin mining company, announced in its Q3 earnings call that it is accelerating the shutdown of its self-operated Bitcoin mining operations. The number of mining rigs running online has decreased by nearly 50% compared to the end of 2025, and it plans to completely shut down its mining operations in Q4 2026, operating as a pure high-performance computing hosting provider from 2027 onwards. In Q3, its hosting revenue reached $215 million (an increase of nearly 60% quarter-over-quarter), and its EBITDA margin rose to 57%. Power has been entirely supplied to CoreWeave and AMD (with a total contract size of 1.1 GW). https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/core-scientific-to-shut-down-mining-q4-2026-71427
