The Democrats won the midterm elections, but it seems even Congressional stock market guru Nancy Pelosi couldn't escape the US stock market crash? Especially Intel and Bloom Energy, which she heavily invested in during July, have both suffered significant losses recently. Curious about which US stocks her family actually bought, I checked their public trading records and found that tech stocks made up a large portion. ① Intel (INTC) They started buying call options in May, and in July they bought 10,000 shares and 50 call options. The result was a nearly 29% plunge on October 30th, followed by further correction. ② Bloom Energy (BE) Similarly, they bought shares and call options in July, betting on the hot AI data center power supply sector. It also fell this month. ③ NVDA, Google, MSFT, AMZN, AVGO These tech giants are also important holdings previously disclosed by the Pelosi family. Recently, some have fallen, while others have rebounded, showing significant differences in performance. Upon closer inspection, the Pelosi family has almost completely invested in AI... We've invested in several hot sectors, from chips and cloud computing to data center power. These sectors still offer considerable long-term opportunities, especially with several tech giants. I personally remain optimistic about them. On the other hand, for ordinary people who don't have much time to research individual stocks, consistently investing in ETFs like VOO and QQQ might be more worry-free, haha.
