[SignalPlus Discloses Attack Losses Less Than $82,000, Promises Full Compensation to Users] According to Jinse Finance, on November 5th, SignalPlus disclosed that its platform suffered a cyberattack in the early hours of November 4th. The attack originated from the compromise of a third-party technology vendor's contact's Telegram account. The attacker forged a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation, tricked an engineer into downloading malicious content, and then controlled the engineer's device and compromised the internal network. The total loss was less than $82,000, and affected users will receive full compensation. SignalPlus stated that it blocked the attack after discovering the anomaly, contacted its partner exchanges to disable all associated API keys, and suspended platform services for a comprehensive security review. The company admitted that it had not previously mandated that exchanges enable IP whitelists for their API keys. It will strengthen API access restrictions, terminal device security, and internal access control in the future, and expects to restore services in stages over the next few days. During this period, users can manage their accounts and holdings through the official platforms of their partner exchanges.
