[SignalPlus Suffers Cyberattack Losses Less Than $82,000, Promises Full Compensation to Affected Users] According to DeepTide TechFlow, on November 5th, SignalPlus disclosed that it suffered a cyberattack in the early morning of November 4th. The attack originated from the compromised Telegram account of a third-party technology vendor's contact person. The attackers used a forged Microsoft Teams meeting invitation to trick an engineer into downloading malicious content, thereby gaining control of the engineer's device and infiltrating the internal network. The total losses caused by the incident were less than $82,000, and affected users will receive full compensation. SignalPlus stated that it quickly blocked the attack after discovering the anomaly and contacted its partner exchanges to disable all associated API keys. Simultaneously, it suspended platform services for a comprehensive security audit. The company admitted that it had not previously mandated that exchanges enable IP whitelisting for their API keys. In the future, it will strengthen API access restrictions, terminal device security, and internal permission management, and expects to restore services in stages over the next few days. During this period, users can still manage their accounts and holdings through the official platforms of their partner exchanges.
