[Apple Returns to Bond Market After Over a Year, Plans to Issue Seven-Part Dollar Bonds]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Apple has announced its return to the investment-grade bond market after more than a year's hiatus, joining the recent wave of bond issuances by major US tech companies.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the iPhone maker is issuing seven tranches of bonds with maturities ranging from 2 to 10 years. The source added that the initial price guidance spread for the longest-term bond is 0.8 percentage points higher than US Treasury bonds. Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase are handling the transaction. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including stock buybacks, dividend payments, and capital expenditures.
Apple last issued bonds in May 2025, raising $4.5 billion through a four-tranche bond issuance.
