Back in October, I mentioned that the INJ ETF was awaiting SEC approval, but it seemed likely and we were just waiting for it to launch. Now Nasdaq has actually approved it! @injective's first ETF with staking, issued by Canary (@CanaryFunds). Just look for INJC in the US stock market; the tokens are held in custody by BitGo. From submitting the application last July, it's finally here after more than a year! Those holding the tokens can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The difference between the staking version and a regular ETF is this: At least 90% of the INJ purchased into the ETF must be staked. After deducting a 30% service fee from the staking rewards, the remaining 70% continues to accrue back into the fund. Holders essentially receive automatic compound interest, and each share of INJ will accumulate more and more. Furthermore, every time money comes in, a batch of tokens is locked up and not circulated. The more people buy, the less tokens are available for dumping in the market. Previously, institutions wanting to acquire INJ either had to open their own exchange accounts or find a custodian. Now, it's as simple as a click from a brokerage account. The Injective Foundation has also stated its intention to purchase the first batch of shares, up to $15 million, allowing the project team to get on board first. I approve of this attitude. The day when US stock accounts can directly buy INJ is finally almost here! *** This does not constitute any investment advice; it is merely a personal record and opinion. Profit and loss are at your own risk.
