To support the Republican Party's efforts to retain seats in Congress in the upcoming midterm elections, both Musk and Trump's political organizations have contributed substantial sums.
According to the New York Times, starting in January 2025, Musk's disclosed political donations in this election cycle have reached approximately $474 million.
Of this, $216 million went to his own America PAC for voter mobilization, $168 million went to organizations supporting Republican Senate candidates, and $30 million went to organizations supporting Republican House candidates.
Last June, Musk also donated $5 million to MAGA Inc., a Trump-backed super PAC.
As of October 14, MAGA Inc., Trump-backed super PAC, had declared expenditures of approximately $300.5 million. Of this, $200 million went to No Going Back PAC, and $25 million went to Safety & Affordability PAC. These organizations then support the Republican Party's campaigns in the House and Senate through advertising and other means.
