OKX has actually been involved in options for a while now, with Dual Currency Wins being the most direct example. Many people don't understand options logic because they've overcomplicated it! I'm not entirely an expert either, but I've been trading Dual Currency Wins for a long time, so I'll explain it simply based on my understanding. Buying a call is equivalent to opening a long position, and paying the premium is equivalent to the contract margin. Buying a put is equivalent to opening a short position, like holding a spot contract to hedge against a price drop. Selling a call is equivalent to selling high, meaning holding the spot and selling when the price rises to the contract price. Selling a put is equivalent to buying low, meaning buying all the spot when the price falls to the contract price. My explanation isn't entirely rigorous, but I think that's the gist of it. Thinking about it this way makes it much simpler, except the buyer essentially opens a contract and needs to pay margin, hence the premium; conversely, the seller collects the premium! I think options are an extension of contracts. If you play them well, they can be very good. There is no risk of liquidation, the risk is controllable, and the returns can be amplified. If you don't play them well, you will still lose a lot of money. So don't rush. You need to explore and learn more. They are indeed a bit difficult. Many people don't even understand contracts, let alone options!
