This morning, Binance Research (@BinanceResearch) conducted a very helpful macroeconomic analysis.
The first part helped clarify the market's risk pricing logic, specifically the relationship between interest rates, AI, and inflation pricing.
Several recent macroeconomic disruptive factors included the Fed meeting, inflation data, tech giant financial crises, and Middle Eastern oil prices.
The most dramatic price changes occur when marginal changes are most pronounced. The market always trades in anticipation, leading to a qualitative shift from quantitative to qualitative changes, thus altering the market's pricing logic.
For example:
- The Fed's shift from rate cut expectations to rate hike expectations corresponded to Bitcoin's decline from May to August.
- Crude oil prices rose from $60 to over $100 in the first half of the year; the qualitative change above $100 resulted in a sharp drop in US stocks in March.
- From June to September, crude oil prices rose again, transmitting to inflation; by October, inflation became apparent, causing a market decline.
- The slowdown in AI growth transmitted to NeoCloud, and then to tech stock earnings disappointments—another logical chain. The implicit factor of earnings falling short of expectations also has an impact on inflation.
