[French National Assembly Rejects 2027 Budget Revenue Section; Crypto Tax Amendments Not Included in Senate Text] Odaily reports that the French National Assembly rejected the 2027 budget revenue section by a vote of 458 to 0 to 2 abstentions. Consequently, the passed cryptocurrency-related amendments were not included in the budget text submitted to the Senate. The proposals may still be reintroduced to the Senate and will need to pass subsequent budget reviews to become law. The previously passed amendments included taxing income from cryptocurrency exchanges for stablecoins and requiring taxpayers to declare at least €100,000 worth of self-custodied cryptocurrency assets, with the assessment date being December 31st of the tax year. Another amendment proposed increasing the penalty for cryptocurrency platforms that fail to provide information to tax authorities from €10,000 to €50,000. The Senate is scheduled to begin reviewing the fiscal bill on November 20th and the budget revenue section on November 23rd. (Cointelegraph)
