Meta Acquires AI Programming Startup Conductor, Strengthening its Position in the Agent Programming Sector. According to IT Home, Meta has acquired AI programming startup Conductor. Conductor developed an AI programming tool that allows users to launch and advance multiple software projects simultaneously by deploying AI agents in multiple parallel workspaces. Conductor founder and CEO Charlie Holtz announced the news on Wednesday, stating that the company is developing plans for next-generation interfaces and will deliver new progress early next year. Meta confirmed the acquisition to TechCrunch but did not disclose details of the transaction. Founded in 2024, Conductor launched its core product last summer. The company's AI agents can be deployed in the cloud, on local devices, or on mobile phones, helping software engineers collaborate on independent parts of the same project.
