Yang Tianzhen, founder of Yixin Entertainment, has crossed over into venture capital. According to LatePost, she co-founded Herle Capital with Jiang Shanshan, former head of cutting-edge technology investment at Alibaba, primarily investing in cutting-edge technologies such as AI, embodied intelligence, nuclear fusion, and brain-computer interfaces. The fund is led by Jiang Shanshan in investment, while Yang Tianzhen focuses on content and influence. This combination aligns with the "new media" strategy championed by top venture capital firm a16z in recent years. In its June article, "New Media, One Year In," a16z wrote: "To win, you must directly engage with your audience; and to do so, you must be engaging." The two are also planning a tech podcast, with Jiang Shanshan discussing technology and Yang Tianzhen making the content more accessible and understandable to those unfamiliar with technology. In Jiang Shanshan's view, "investment ability is 1, and content is the 0 that follows." After leaving Alibaba, in order to grab the best projects, she had to first build up her influence.
