[Analyst: Slowdown in AI Capital Spending Could Affect Fed Rate Hike Prospects and US Treasury Yields] According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on November 5th, John Luke Tainer of Aptus Capital Advisors stated in a report that after the Democratic Party's progress in the gubernatorial elections, the market still needs to pay attention to whether AI capital spending and data center construction will be affected, or simply shift to states with more favorable government policies. The portfolio manager and head of fixed income stated, "I think related investments will slow down, but the slowdown may not be as large as the market fears." Regarding whether the Fed will raise interest rates further, Tainer said, "If the main pressures on inflation come from energy prices and AI spending, then the 25 basis point rate hike in September was likely the last in this rate hike cycle." He also stated that government gridlock usually drags down GDP growth, which could open up room for further declines in the entire yield curve. (Jinshi)
