[South Korea's Unification Ministry: No Discussions Yet on Sanctions Against North Korea for Alleged Theft of Binance Funds] According to Yonhap News Agency, a South Korean Unification Ministry official stated on Thursday that the South Korean government has not yet begun discussions on imposing sanctions on North Korea for allegedly stealing a large amount of cryptocurrency. The official said the government does not yet have a full grasp of the specifics of the hacking incident, and therefore discussions on how to respond have not even begun. Internal information sharing and discussions are still underway, but have not yet reached that stage. Last week, the FBI stated that North Korea was responsible for stealing more than $6 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance. Earlier this week, Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, denied the accusation, calling it a "serious political provocation" against North Korea. North Korea has been repeatedly accused of cyber theft but has consistently denied involvement.
