November 5th Market Analysis: Bitcoin is currently trading between $80,400 and $80,700, up over 4% in the last 24 hours. Ethereum is trading between $2415 and $2430, up slightly over 6%. Yesterday, it rallied from around $75,600. With less uncertainty after the election results, US stocks also rose, and cryptocurrencies followed suit, returning to $80,000.
This isn't a new narrative; it's just that previous short positions were squeezed out, and people felt that a Democratic victory in Congress wouldn't immediately kill the crypto market. Previously, ETFs had been experiencing outflows, and stablecoin supply was shrinking, indicating a weak foundation. The Binance hack hasn't been fully digested yet.
Today, the key is whether it can hold above $80,000. If it holds, it might consolidate; if not, it will likely fall back to $78,000 or even lower. Ethereum is more volatile, but it's also following the trend, not leading it independently.
Bitcoin resistance: 81000, 81500, 85000; support: 80000, 78000, 75600. Ethereum resistance: 2450, 2500, 2600; support: 2300, 2200, 2100. Don't chase the price. See if you buy on a pullback to around 80,000; if not, don't hold on. Half of this rebound was driven by short covering; we need to observe further before allowing real money in.
