[Ethereum Foundation: Fork Roadmap for Achieving Lean Ethereum Goals Developed] The Ethereum Foundation announced on the X platform that its "Strawmap" sets the goal of achieving Lean Ethereum by 2029, and a plan for phased implementation by forks has been developed. H* will be the last fork without Lean features; I* will introduce the LeanVM and Lean transactions; J* will add Lean proofs, data availability sampling, and PCS; and by phase L, Lean Ethereum will be complete. Lean Ethereum is a long-term protocol restructuring vision and roadmap proposed as Ethereum enters its second decade. Its core goal is to significantly improve performance, address quantum computing threats, and restructure the underlying technology stack without sacrificing decentralization and security by streamlining the protocol, eliminating redundancy, and "lightening the load."
