[CoinShares Head of Research: Bitcoin Has Largely Priced in Expectations of a Democratic Landslide Victory, with Room for a Rebound]
(According to Bitcoin.com) James Butterfill, Head of Research at CoinShares, stated regarding the November 3rd US midterm election results that Bitcoin has largely priced in expectations of a Democratic landslide victory. With the uncertainty dissipating, there is room for a rebound, and the anticipated results may not necessarily trigger another round of selling. Butterfill warned that a bigger concern is the slowdown in crypto reform. The Clarity Act faces a more difficult path, and investigations into Trump-related companies could deplete political capital and generate unsettling headlines in the industry. He believes that US crypto stocks may be more sensitive than Bitcoin, especially exchanges, token issuers, and companies reliant on new regulatory licenses; compliant operators may benefit from stricter scrutiny of their competitors.
