AI MAU growth across (per SensorTower) In 3Q26, Claude’s global MAUs jumped 1260% YoY, the largest increase across the cohort, followed by Meta AI and Gemini at 675% and 166% YoY, respectively. Despite its size, ChatGPT saw 70% YoY growth in 3Q26, while Perplexity saw MAUs fall 5% YoY. ChatGPT lags Claude on YoY MAU growth, it is by far the largest app on a global basis with 1.4bn MAUs in 3Q26, comprising more than 60% of the cohort’s MAU share. With ~26% share or 591mn MAUs, Gemini is a distant second, followed by Claude with 4%. Nearly 50% of Claude US app users also used the LinkedIn app in the last six months, highlighting its strong affiliation with business professionals.
