[BitMart Founder Says Security Team Severely Understaffed; Suspicious $391,000 in Transfers Flow to Wallet Involved in Mercado Bitcoin Attack] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Sheldon Xia, founder of cryptocurrency exchange BitMart, stated on Wednesday that the company's security team is currently severely understaffed. Threats to employees and allegations of retaliation from former employees have made it even more difficult to retain technical staff; he said the team is still working hard to protect data and assets. Blockchain analytics firm Bitquery identified approximately $391,000 in transfers suspected to originate from BitMart-related wallets, involving three blockchains. Bitquery stated that the funds flowed to a wallet also involved in the Mercado Bitcoin attack on the Brazilian exchange. (Cointelegraph)
