[Goldman Sachs and Apollo in Talks to Sell a Stake in SpaceX's $40 Billion AI Chip Financing] According to Bloomberg, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Goldman Sachs and Apollo Global Management are in talks with Wall Street investors to sell a stake in SpaceX's approximately $40 billion AI chip financing deal. Some investors have been asked to subscribe for up to $500 million before the formal syndicated loan process begins. The debt includes an $8.3 billion senior secured loan and multiple bonds. Goldman Sachs is leading the loan portion, Apollo is the lead investor in the bonds, and PIMCO is also involved. This financing, along with a $7 billion lease prepayment, will be used to purchase approximately $47.3 billion worth of Nvidia Rubin chips, expected to be delivered in the first half of 2027. SpaceX will lease these chips under a five-year agreement. The report states that the pressure on the AI boom has intensified following the Democratic Party's victory in the midterm elections.
