Today, the midterm elections finally ended, with the Democrats securing a comfortable victory in both houses of Congress. Trump's days are numbered, but the world can finally see a chance for peace. First and foremost is the war with Iran. Without the support of both houses, Trump has fewer options and will face more constraints. Tariffs and geopolitical conflicts should also decrease significantly. In other words, for the next two years, Trump will mostly be engaged in empty rhetoric. Today's sharp drop in oil prices is mainly due to market expectations that the US-Iran war is finally coming to an end. Although Iran remains defiant, negotiations should be more fruitful with any country not aligned with Trump. Besides Iran, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will also ease considerably, as Russian oil supplies will no longer be an issue once the Democrats resolve the oil price problem. Overall, this midterm election has eliminated a significant amount of uncertainty for the US over the next two years, preventing a series of sporadic trade wars. Furthermore, the Democrats will not interfere with the independence of the Federal Reserve, easing tensions between the Fed and the ruling party. The Fed will also face much less pressure. Both Bitcoin and US stocks have begun to shift in favor of the bulls, but the complete handover won't happen until early 2027. Currently, Trump is still in power, so hopefully there won't be too many unexpected events. This time, I bought bitcoin:native at $77,000, but I guess I won't have the chance again.
