[US Midterm Elections Boost Shares of Major Cloud Service Providers] According to Jinse Finance, following the US midterm elections on November 5th, the Democratic Party won control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, reducing market policy uncertainty and leading to a general rise in tech stocks on Wednesday. Amazon (AMZN.O) rose approximately 8% intraday, Google (GOOG.O) rose over 6%, Microsoft (MSFT.O) rose over 7%, Meta rose approximately 3%, and Apple rose nearly 7%. David Kelly, Global Chief Strategist at JPMorgan Asset Management, believes that the Republican-led White House and Democratic control of Congress may help ease economic growth and inflationary pressures, reducing market uncertainty. Meanwhile, AI data center construction faces the risk of tightening regulations. Of the 41 related local referendums, 40 results were unfavorable to data center construction. However, analysts believe that higher regulatory thresholds may actually strengthen the competitive advantage of large cloud service providers. Large cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have strong financial resources and mature data center construction and operation capabilities, while emerging AI cloud service providers face greater pressure. On Wednesday, shares of emerging AI cloud service provider Coreweave (CRWV.O) fell approximately 10%. Macquarie analysts believe that companies with sufficient funds, secured power supply, and project construction capabilities have a greater advantage, and the demand for AI infrastructure investment has not disappeared as a result.
