[Polygon Community Proposes Hard Fork to Reclaim Approximately 70.49 Million POL] According to a proposal on the Polygon community forum on November 5th, community members proposed a hard fork of the Polygon PoS mainnet to transfer the native POL from five blocked attack addresses to designated reclaim addresses on Polymarket and Binance. The proposal states that these addresses hold approximately 70.49 million POL, of which approximately 23.86 million are related to the Polymarket incident and approximately 46.63 million are related to the Binance incident. The proposed operation would clear the balances of the relevant addresses and credit an equivalent amount of tokens to the reclaim addresses, keeping the total supply unchanged. This plan requires approval from the Polygon governance process, and the activated block and client version are yet to be determined. The proposal is scheduled to be presented at the protocol governance meeting at 22:30 Beijing time on November 5th.
