[ChatGPT Supports GIF Generation, OpenAI Launches Images 2.6] According to a report by The Verge on November 5th, ChatGPT now supports generating animated GIFs via text prompts or uploaded photos. Users can also adjust playback speed, edit individual frames, and share their creations. Previously, ChatGPT could not natively generate GIFs in a single step. This feature was launched alongside OpenAI's new image model, Images 2.6, which also speeds up image generation for ChatGPT and is being rolled out to ChatGPT and Codex users on web, desktop, and mobile platforms. OpenAI also launched GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst in its API for faster and higher-quality image generation, respectively. OpenAI stated that users are currently generating over 4 billion images per week through ChatGPT and its API, up from 3 billion per week as disclosed in September.
