[Stablecoin payment provider Yellow Card completes acquisition of Brazilian virtual asset service provider GoMoney, officially entering the Brazilian market] According to a Yellow Card announcement, the company completed the acquisition of Brazilian virtual asset service provider GoMoney in October. The transaction amount was not disclosed. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in São Paulo, GoMoney will continue to be operated by the founding team as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yellow Card after the acquisition. This acquisition allows Yellow Card to directly operate in Brazil for the first time, providing customers with local payment and collection services in Brazilian Real, including Pix, and settling in stablecoins. GoMoney has applied for a virtual asset servicer license from the Central Bank of Brazil and will continue to operate under a transitional system during the approval period.
