[Riot Platforms Terminates Custody Agreement with NYDIG; Bitcoin Transferred to BitGo Custody] According to SEC filings, Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms (RIOT) stated in its 8-K filing that its digital asset custody agreement with NYDIG Trust Company, signed in November 2023, automatically terminated on October 29. The reason for the termination was that all digital assets previously held in custody by NYDIG had been transferred to BitGo Bank & Trust. These assets are currently held by BitGo under the custody service agreement disclosed on October 14, and Riot did not pay any early termination penalty. Under the original agreement, NYDIG held Riot's Bitcoin in a cold wallet and charged an annual fee based on the average daily USD value of the custodied assets. Riot also released its Q3 2026 financial report on November 4.
