[AI PACs Spend Approximately $72 Million in US Midterm Elections, About $100 Million Less Than the Crypto Sector] According to journalist Eleanor Terrett, AI-related political action committees (PACs) spent approximately $72 million in the US midterm elections, while the three major crypto PACs spent approximately $170 million, about $100 million more than the AI PACs. Some of the AI PACs' bets failed: their supported candidates Darline Graham in South Carolina, Mike Rogers in Michigan, and @CarlosForTexas in Texas all lost their elections. Terrett also previously reported that the crypto sector spent over $64 million but still failed to prevent Sherrod Brown from entering the Senate.
