[BitGo Launches Institutional Trading and Financial Services Division, Global Markets, Headed by Former NYDIG Executive Pete Janney] According to The Block, digital asset infrastructure company BitGo (NYSE: BTGO) announced the launch of its Global Markets division, integrating liquidity, trade execution, financing, derivatives, and settlement services. The division is headed by former NYDIG executive Pete Janney. BitGo acquired NYDIG's institutional and trading business on August 27, bringing approximately 30 employees with it. The new division will offer spot and bulk OTC trading, crypto asset-backed financing, options, swaps, and custom structured products, as well as asset management strategies, private equity, and research services. Clearing and settlement will be handled by Go Network. BitGo Prime, which has been operating since 2020, will be integrated into this division. BTGO shares rose 3.4% in pre-market trading on Wednesday.
