[Scroll DAO Proposes Transformation into a Dedicated Network for AI Privacy Applications and Migration of SCR to the Ethereum Mainnet] According to a proposal on the Scroll official forum on November 4th, Scroll DAO has initiated a protocol upgrade proposal, planning to transform Scroll into a permissioned dedicated network for privacy-focused AI applications and migrate SCR to the Ethereum mainnet. This network will build an AI product ecosystem around Compass, the Compass API, CENO, USX, and SCR, focusing on supporting privacy-focused AI interaction, identity verification, AI Agent workflows, payments, and computing power coordination.
The proposal states that after the SCR migrates to the Ethereum mainnet, the token supply and overall economic model will remain unchanged, without dilution, and it will continue to assume network governance functions while participating in the governance of USX core parameters. USX will serve as a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, used for AI service pricing, task budgeting, and service provider settlement.
The new network will adopt a permissioned operating model, achieving privacy and verifiability through zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), and utilizing on-chain rules to manage the permissions, spending limits, and settlement conditions of AI Agents. Scroll stated that the technical development and design work for the network upgrade and SCR migration has been completed, and implementation is planned for the end of 2026. A specific timeline will be announced through official channels.
This proposal is currently awaiting review by the Scroll DAO community, which requires the network upgrade and SCR migration to be voted on as a single proposal.
