Goodman and Digital Realty have reportedly offered to acquire up to 9.9% of data center operator NextDC for approximately $500 million, according to Reuters. The deal, valued at approximately A$715 million (about $499.7 million), represents a 45.5% premium over NextDC's closing price of A$6.53 on Wednesday. The deal is led by JPMorgan Chase. The two companies stated they currently have no intention of launching a takeover bid or seeking control. NextDC's share price has fallen 45% this year after delays in its Melbourne M3 project, which resulted in the deferral of approximately A$140 million in contract revenue, due to grid upgrades.
