[Politico Poll: Democratic Voters Show Little Interest in Compromise] According to Politico on November 4th, two-thirds of Democratic voters want the House of Representatives to block President Trump's policy agenda rather than compromise with him. Following the Democrats' major electoral victory, Trump stated his willingness to cooperate with Democrats in the next congressional term. However, Democratic leaders have signaled that they will not easily let go of the Trump administration's actions over the past year. A Politico poll shows that Democratic midterm election voters hold a similar view: 65% believe the House should prioritize opposing Trump's policy agenda, even if it means sacrificing opportunities to advance legislation. Starting in January, Democrats will face pressure to push policies through, but must strike a balance between addressing the cost of living and advancing a strong oversight agenda. (Jinshi)
