The Mercado Bitcoin exchange hacker has liquidated stolen altcoins — PEPE, AAVE, UNI, ONDO, ENA and others — converting everything to 𝟳,𝟵𝟴𝟴 𝗘𝗧𝗛 (~$18.19M) at a single collection address. $11.45M in altcoins was already moved out for liquidation.
𝗛𝘂𝗽𝘇𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Active post-hack laundering puts direct sell pressure on the dumped tokens — AAVE and UNI both trade on Hyperliquid — while the accumulated ETH becomes latent supply once the hacker offloads next. ETH here is the laundering vehicle, not organic demand.
For UNI and AAVE, a concentrated dump from a single bad-actor wallet is a localized supply risk on thinner order books. ETH absorbs the runoff more easily given deeper liquidity.
