[Moscow Exchange Plans to Launch Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT Trading on December 1st] According to CoinDesk, Russia's largest stock exchange, the Moscow Exchange, plans to launch trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT starting December 1st. Trading hours will be from 06:50 to 23:50 Moscow time. Clearing will be handled by the National Clearing House, with settlement options available on a same-day or next-day basis. Swap instruments will be provided to manage liquidity. Regular investors will need to pass a test and can purchase a maximum of 300,000 rubles (approximately $3,700) worth of crypto assets annually through a single broker. Qualified investors will have no upper limit. Both the Moscow Exchange and the National Clearing House were sanctioned by the US Treasury Department in June 2024. The report states that USDT is issued by Tether, which freezes wallets on the US Treasury Department's sanctions list.
