[Trump Congratulates Democrats on Victory, Says Iran War Will End "When I Say It's Over"] According to CBS News, US President Trump congratulated the Democrats on their midterm election victory. Trump said, "Congratulations to the Democrats. I look forward to working with you all to work together for the good of our country." Trump also stated, "I know a lot of Democrats, and I have an absolute veto. I believe we can find a solution. I think they will be willing to work with me, otherwise I would veto everything, and they don't want that." Explaining the Republican candidates' losses, Trump added, "In some cases, voters didn't like those candidates; in other cases, those candidates weren't my friends, and Republican grassroots voters know that better than anyone. Therefore, they didn't actively participate in the vote. If I had been on the ballot, we could have won easily, which is regrettable. But I didn't run." When asked if he was frustrated, Trump said he "did his best" and "gave his all." Furthermore, Trump addressed the Iran war, saying it will end "when I say it's over." (Jin Shi)
