Cat Wu, product lead for Claude Code, has resigned, marking the departure of three core team members. Cat Wu, the core product lead for Claude Code, a subsidiary of Anthropic, announced on X that last Friday (October 30th) was her last day at Anthropic. Wu joined in the summer of 2024 and, along with Claude Code's original author, Boris Cherny, was a key face of the product. Just a week prior, Claude Code engineer Thariq Shihipar and desktop lead Anthony Morris had already left, with none of the three disclosing their next move. This comes as Anthropic is in a crucial window before its IPO this month.
