Hawk posted on the X platform that Clanker originated approximately two years ago on Farcaster, where users could issue tokens simply by posting and tagging @clanker_world. It later expanded to X and was once one of the highest-volume token issuance platforms on Base, incubating tokens such as BNKR, DRB, and FAIR. He stated that Clanker has recently experienced founder disputes, a sale to Farcaster, and a transfer to Neynar, and is currently under the management of Mask Network. Hawk indicated that Clanker will work with its engineering team to relaunch.
