[Design Platform Canva Announces Restructuring, Affecting Approximately 22% of Employees] According to Forbes Australia, online design platform Canva has announced a restructuring affecting 1,271 positions, approximately 22% of its more than 5,000 employees. These positions will be eliminated, reassigned, or relocated. Canva CEO Melanie Perkins stated in an internal memo that the company's growth has slowed for the first time in a decade, and this year is "the most difficult year yet." The restructuring will merge the product, growth, and platform teams, with Sydney becoming the core product hub. From January next year, most employees will be required to work 2-3 days per week, and departing employees will receive at least six months' salary as severance pay. Bloomberg also reported on this event.
