🇺🇸 BREAKING: The CFTC has been SUED for approving stock perpetual futures that allegedly belong to the SEC. The lawsuit, backed by Citadel Securities and Cboe, argues the contracts are really swaps, not futures, and wants them blocked. It was filed in a New York federal court the SAME day the CFTC approved perpetual futures on individual stocks for US exchanges for the first time, per CoinDesk. The American Securities Association's CEO says the CFTC "sidestepped the SEC's jurisdiction and Congress' ban" on selling these contracts to retail investors.
