AI is mass-producing content, but the number of people actually making money from it may be decreasing. Previously, creating a song involved arranging, recording, mixing, and then figuring out how to release it. Now, with AI, many of these tasks can be completed in minutes.
The production barrier has been lowered, but problems have arisen: the number of works is increasing, but viewership isn't. An independent musician without connections, even with good work, might end up gathering dust on a hard drive if no one discovers or releases it.
Even more problematic is what happens when someone else uses your work: who owns the copyright? How are the profits distributed? How is payment collected? AI has solved how to produce content, but not how to monetize it.
Recently, @KorProtocol within the Base ecosystem has been eyeing this very market. KOR isn't focusing on AI-generated tools; instead, it aims to connect the processes of content discovery, copyright verification, business connections, and stablecoin settlement.
Simply put, they want to create a creative asset app store to see what's actually happening.
The cryptocurrency space is never short of projects with compelling narratives, but what truly matters is whether they have a product, a user base, and revenue.
KOR has disclosed several key figures:
* Cumulative gross revenue from its products exceeds $2 million.
* Over 150,000 KOR IDs have been minted on the Base chain.
* Completed a $7.5 million Series A funding round, valuing the company at approximately $100 million.
* Investors include 1kx and Blockchain Capital.
Products like Pacer and Korus are already launched, indicating that they didn't just launch their tokens before focusing on business development.
An interesting detail is that KOR previously experimented with having the community vote to discover musicians and then promote their work to distribution channels.
Previously, who gets heard was often determined by labels and platforms. Now, it wants to involve the community.
Whether this model can be scaled up remains to be seen, but its direction is certainly different from typical AI content projects.
Looking at KOR's token design, the project has been quite active recently, with the establishment of a foundation, the announcement of tokenomics, and the release of updated versions of the MiCA white paper.
Key points:
Total Supply: 10 billion tokens, fixed supply
Initial TGE Unlock: Approximately 22.87%
Team and Investors: Zero TGE unlocked, locked for one year. The initial release of TGE tokens from the team and investors does not unlock them, reducing initial selling pressure from these two groups.
However, don't assume everything is secure just because of the lock-up. The initial unlock is nearly a quarter of the total supply; subsequent circulation changes and market pricing still need to be observed.

Finally, some personal thoughts:
I've always felt that there's an interesting change in the AI era. Previously, content was valuable because producing it was difficult. In the future, the value of content may depend more on who can help it find a market.
AI can generate tens of thousands of songs a day, but whether these songs will ultimately be heard, licensed, and purchased is another matter entirely.
What KOR aims to do is take over this latter part of the business, and the creative asset market is not limited to music. The commercialization of digital content, copyright licensing, and AI-generated works in the future may all involve similar demands.
Of course, product revenue does not equate to token value. $2 million in gross revenue is product business data, not profit, and certainly cannot be directly considered the value of KOR.
What truly deserves attention is whether creators can remain engaged, whether commercial clients are willing to continue paying, and what role KOR can ultimately play in these transactions and services.
If these issues can be gradually resolved, then KOR can truly be considered to have turned storytelling into a business.
AI enables everyone to create, but not everyone can earn money from creation.
