OpenUSD (OUSD), a stablecoin jointly launched by Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase, and Shopify, will charge a management fee of 0.1 basis points (0.001%) per transaction, capped at $0.01 per transaction. The fee will go to the operator, Open Standard. The five initial partners have committed to providing over $1 billion in liquidity during the near-term launch phase. Unlike USDT and USDC, where issuers retain interest on reserve assets, OUSD plans to distribute reserve earnings after deducting management fees to partners and allocate annual equity incentives based on each partner's monthly OUSD holdings and trading volume. The participation threshold is $50 million, and a single partner can acquire a maximum of 5% equity through warrants.
