[OpenUSD Stablecoin Governance Announces Fee Mechanism: $0.01 Management Fee Per Payment, Equity Incentive Pool Established] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Open Standard, the governance organization behind the OpenUSD (OUSD) stablecoin, has established a management fee and equity incentive mechanism. According to its internal documents, OUSD will charge a management fee of 0.1 basis points (0.001%) per payment, with a maximum of $0.01 per payment. Specifically, payments of $1,000 or more will be capped at $0.01, while payments below $1,000 will be charged at 0.1 basis points of the transaction amount. The management fee will be paid to Open Standard. Unlike USDT and USDC, where the issuer retains interest on reserve assets, OUSD plans to distribute reserve returns to partners, deducting the aforementioned management fee before further distribution. In addition, Open Standard will provide equity incentives based on the size of OUSD held and circulated by partners. Partners receive a share of the annual equity incentive pool monthly based on their holdings and trading volume. The participation threshold is a minimum holding of $50 million, with a maximum shareholding of 5% for a single partner. OUSD, launched with the participation of companies such as Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase, and Shopify, aims to reduce cross-border settlement costs and bring fiat currency exchange needs to near zero. Visa has also released over 100 pages of technical implementation and user guides to help partners integrate OUSD through the Visa Stablecoin Platform. (CoinDesk)
