[Binance Co-CEO: Binance's Financial Situation is "Very Sound"] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng stated at the Hong Kong Fintech Week event on Tuesday that Binance's financial situation is currently "very sound." He said that hourly fund inflows and outflows on the platform have largely returned to normal, 95% of the affected tokens have been replenished, and the remaining 5% mainly consists of tokens with low liquidity. Binance is working with OTC trading service providers to restore the relevant assets.
Teng stated that the losses were covered by the User Security Asset Fund (SAFU) and other funds reserved by the company, ensuring the safety of user funds. As of Monday, Binance customers had experienced a net outflow of approximately $4.72 billion, representing about 3% of the platform's assets, most of which was USDT. He said, "This was a painful lesson, and we take responsibility for it. We will become stronger."
Furthermore, the FBI previously accused North Korea of being responsible for the incident, while North Korea has denied the allegations.
