An open letter to everyone who runs a bridge. Bridges are easier to rob than exchanges. The record proves it. Butter gets attacked every day. Different vector, same target. Look at the business we are in. We earn a few basis points per transfer. We expose millions to hundreds of millions to anyone who wants it. No KYC. No friction. No questions. That is the worst risk-reward model in this industry. And we keep making it worse. Every quarter we compete on speed. Faster finality. Faster settlement. Faster everything. Before AI, exploits came from stupid mistakes. Now every open-source dependency is an unknown. Even the cryptography is taking reputational hits. If we don't slow down on purpose, we will be emptied out. Human eyes on every transaction is the only thing that still beats an AI attacker. So here is what I'm asking of every bridge: 1Stop optimizing for speed. Every transfer gets reviewed by a human. Large or small. 2Forget open source for now. Stop trusting open-source imports. Close-source your core until the AI exploit wave passes. 3Real users don't mind waiting 5 to 10 minutes. Hackers need their money in seconds. Design for the first group. 4Wallets: appreciate to stop competing on settlement time. Drop it to the bottom of your ranking that will be better. Wallet users' funds depend on it. 5bridges ,Do not be the hacker's exit. When the industry is being drained, pause. Hold the line on basic decency. Speed was never the product. Not getting robbed is the product.
