[Sources: Anthropic's Available Computing Power Will Reach 3.5 GW by the End of This Year] According to Jinse Finance, AI giant Anthropic filed its S-1 prospectus last week and is expected to complete its record-breaking IPO this month, stirring up Wall Street sentiment. On Monday, the company updated its prospectus, disclosing impressive growth data, but also highlighting significant risks on the expenditure side. Over the past year, Anthropic has signed numerous computing power procurement contracts, securing computing resources to train and run large AI models, betting that surging demand can cover its massive investments. The updated S-1 shows that Anthropic's third-quarter revenue was $17 billion, a 12-fold increase year-over-year and a 47% increase quarter-over-quarter; however, its net loss was $23 billion, with the quarter-over-quarter growth rate slowing from 144% in the previous quarter. By 2045, Anthropic's total commitments for data centers, chips, and computing power procurement amount to a staggering $895.4 billion; nearly $70 billion in contract payments will begin to be honored within the next 12 months. Two sources familiar with the matter revealed that by the end of this year, the company's available computing power will reach 3.5 gigawatts, enough to supply electricity to all homes in Chicago; the goal for next year is to double that computing power. Anthropic is even deeply involved in data center design, hiring infrastructure and supply chain experts, and procuring hardware such as cooling systems from contractors. Its main competitor, OpenAI, is also investing heavily in computing power. Sources revealed that OpenAI expects its total computing power investment to reach approximately $750 billion by 2030.
