Jeff Yan: Institutions That See Hyperliquid as a Rival Today Will Eventually Use It Bloomberg published an interview with Jeff Yan, co-founder of Hyperliquid. The 31-year-old stated that traditional institutions that consider Hyperliquid a competitor will gradually accept that the technology can also be used by them in the coming years. CME and ICE pressured US regulators to control Hyperliquid this year; now, ICE has instead invested in its ecosystem project, http://Trade.xyz. Hyperliquid's revenue over the past 12 months reached $713 million, and its RWA trading volume has caught up with that of crypto assets. In February of this year, when the Iranian conflict erupted and traditional oil markets closed, the daily trading volume of perpetual crude oil contracts on Hyperliquid surged to billions of dollars. Jeff Yan has never accepted VC funding, arguing that neutral protocols shouldn't have privileged insider investors. "If Satoshi Nakamoto had done a Series A funding round, Bitcoin wouldn't be what it is today." He and other core contributors hold approximately $20 billion in HYPE, yet he owns neither a car nor a house, spends almost all his time working, and is even accompanied by bodyguards when interviewed.
