[CZ: All Hacking Attacks Are Preventable, Proposes Forming an Industry Security Alliance] Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), in an interview with Jacquelyn Melinek on Talking Tokens, publicly commented for the first time on the approximately $6.3 billion hack that occurred at Binance. Zhao stated, "All hacking attacks are preventable," and that companies that have not experienced incidents for a long time are prone to complacency; this incident offers many lessons. He believes that this incident is not only a corporate security issue but also rises to the level of national and global financial security because tokenized stocks, RWA, and stablecoins have deeply intertwined the crypto industry with the traditional financial system. Zhao pointed out that AI is significantly accelerating the speed of attacks, and the frequency of hacking attacks on crypto exchanges has increased from about one per month to almost one per week; "four happened yesterday alone."
