[Bitcoin Breaks Bearish Trend Before Nearly Three US Midterm Elections, Price Currently Above 200-Day Moving Average] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin was below its 200-day moving average on the days of the US midterm elections in 2014, 2018, and 2022, by approximately 35%, 9%, and 22% respectively. This year, however, the situation is different. Currently, Bitcoin is priced at approximately $76,990, 5.2% higher than its 200-day moving average of approximately $73,169, indicating a relatively strong long-term trend. The 2026 Bitcoin bear market is expected to be shallower and the decline will be earlier, with the main correction concentrated in January and February of this year. Martin Lee, Head of Research at DWF Labs, stated that historical data shows Bitcoin's price action typically becomes volatile or slightly bearish in the initial months following midterm elections, but then rises over the next 12 months. He believes the long-term historical trend is favorable for Bitcoin, but short-term volatility should be monitored, especially given the escalating geopolitical conflicts and the continued drag on risk assets from AI trading.
