According to News1, South Korea's Financial Services Commission is considering increasing the cold wallet holding ratio for domestic cryptocurrency exchanges, discussing raising the current minimum requirement of 80% to approximately 99%. Currently, Upbit's cold wallet holding ratio exceeds 99%, Bithumb is around 94%, Coinone is around 85%, and some smaller exchanges are only slightly above 80%. Industry insiders worry that a uniform increase in the ratio could reduce the assets available for immediate withdrawal from hot wallets, increasing user withdrawal delays and operational pressure on smaller exchanges. The report states that Bithumb experienced a delay of approximately 13 hours in August this year for some altcoin withdrawals due to insufficient hot wallet assets. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/south-korea-exchanges-increase-cold-wallet-holdings-99-percent-delays-71246
